'BROER', the newest single by Geert Hautekiet

Geert Hautekiet presents, his melancholic new single ‘BROER’ (brother in Dutch). On 30 April 2020 his broder Tom died suddenly and completely unexpectedly. He was the highly regarded graphic designer who brought colour to events such as Rock Werchter. This is one track from a new album that will be released in 2027 and that Geert expects to present live.
Geert is a Belgian storytelling singer-songwriter with a warm voice, powerful lyrics (in his native language) and a passionate drive. After many years of touring solo throughout Flanders and the Netherlands, and collaborations with greats such as Bram Vermeulen, Raymond van het Groenewoud, Maarten van Roozendaal, André Manuel, … he took a break from music in recent years and creates now ‘automata’ (storytelling machines made from recycled wood).
