'Avancer' is first pop ballad by Charlotte de Halleux, an intimate song born the day she realised that healthy love was still possible. More vulnerable than her previous pop-soul tracks, it mixes spoken-word verses sung almost in a hip-hop way with a luminous and melodious chorus.
"It’s my favorite song: a sincere declaration where the scars of the past become a force to love… and move forward", she said.
Charlotte comes from Aix en Provence (France) and settled in her creative cocoon in Brussels in 2020, determined to live her art intensely. With finesse and feet on the ground, she has the insolent passion of youth and the free language common to new generations, but will also touch others with her sincerity and disarming naturalness.
Actress and model, but also committed to climate change, she has everything going for her. She has a nonchalant sensuality in her voice coupled with a formidable natural technical mastery. With her production duo Waku / Renwart, she works hard to shape her groovy sounds inspired by soul and rnb. With her first single 'On ne badine pas avec l'amour', a feminist ode inspired by her latest disappointment and taken from her upcoming first EP, she is already emerging as an arrow to which we will have to cling if we want to follow her ascent.
