Folklorissimo 2025: dance performances, entertainment, a participatory choir, marching bands, and more

20-21 September in Grand-Place

The Folklore Festival (known as Folklorissimo) offers a variety of activities to immerse yourself in Brussels and international heritage, in the Grand-Place district and at the Manneken Pis.

The programme includes dance performances, entertainment, a participatory choir, a procession of giants, marching bands, a barrel organ, a folk race, crossbow shooting (on Saturdays), and more.

This edition reflects all of Brussels' folklore, with 22 Brussels brotherhoods and organized events, including the Bastard.e.s Van Bruxelles, a project of the Zinneke Parade, and Kin Act, a Belgian-Congolese project to activate costumes made from upcycled materials.

What's new in 2025?

In the 2025 novelties, a focus on the Centro Cultural Sartañani Bolivia (Bolivia), which will offer dance and music, but also the discovery of a new giant, the giant Gertrude, created by the Belgian-Turkish artist Şengül Özdemir within Maison Gertrude, Art Center in the Sainte-Gertrude rest home.
