After more than six years, the legendary Jamiroquai returned to Belgium on Saturday 29 November at the ING Arena in Brussels, organised by Gracialive. The Heels of Steel Tour marked the return of the Jazzfunkers after having dominated the world music scene for more than 30 years with 15 nominations for the Brit Awards, two Guinness World Records, a Grammy and more than 1.7 billion streams on Spotify with a last tour stop in our capital.
Jay Kay's led band brought the funk, the disco, the moves and their big collection of hats in almost 3 hours of show presenting their extensive catalog of hits like 'Little L', 'Space Cowboy', 'Cosmic Girl', 'Canned Heat', 'Travelling Without Moving' and new tracks like 'Disco Stays The Same' and 'Shadow Of The Night' that promise to be future disco/funk hits as the band readies a new album for 2026.
Formed by Jay Kay in 1992, Jamiroquai quickly forged a unique future funk sound. Jay's kinetic dance movements, his characteristic style and incomparable voice made him a cultural icon almost overnight. With songs that hit and iconic videos, Jamiroquai's music has been dancing around the world for more than 30 years. Their hits have become timeless classics, which make generations of fans vibrate through their contagious groove and it was clear as both older and younger audiences vibed with the perfectly crafted and balanced setlist of hits and fan-favourites.
