Three years after filling the same venue in 2023, Juanes returned to Brussels last night with a concert that proved why he remains one of Latin music's most compelling live performers. Back at the intimate Cirque Royal after a sold-out Antwerp stop in 2024, the Colombian singer delivered nearly two hours of music that effortlessly balanced nostalgia with the promise of a new chapter as he released a new album last spring.
He did not hesitate starting with well-known hits like 'Me Enamora', 'La Paga', 'Yerbatero', 'Mala Gente', some as a surprise for many attendees like me, not aware of how many hits he spanned in 2 decades of career. Clearly celebrated were singles like 'Fotografía', originally a duet with Nelly Furtado, 'Volverte a Ver', or my favourite 'Es por Ti'.
The artist introduced every song with some hint for the most avid fans, but left everyone heart-melted stepping down the stage to perform in the middle of the crow the hyper-romantic 'Para Tu Amor'

After a rock medley including some notes of 'Seven Nation Army' to remind everyone his multi-genre taste and his guitar skills, and a close-to-raving moment with 'La Luz', the Colombian closed the show with 2 epic singles, the worldwide famous 'La Camisa Negra' and the inevitable and adored by everyone hit 'A Dios le Pido'.
At 52, Juanes shows no signs of becoming merely a legacy act. His voice remains remarkably strong, he is deeply respected for blending genres without every losing essence or selling himself to trends and for a very charismatic and approachable attitude that got everubody "enamorado" of him.

Gracia Live brings you the best artists on concert in Brussels and Belgium. Check the agenda for the coming months here.
