Record Store Day is a day where everything revolves around vinyl records in the music stores. Vinyl has been on the rise again in recent years and is also popular with youth.
This year the Belgian ambassador is rapper Yong Yello. To mark the occasion, an exclusive 7-inch single will be released, available free of charge and exclusively to the first 1,000 Record Store Day customers at their local independent record store.
Yong Yello: "As the son of a vinyl junkie, I spent many hours as a little kid in Antwerp record stores during the weekends, so I’m incredibly honoured to be this year’s ambassador for Record Store Day. The circle is complete, but above all I’m happy that I can still go to record stores. It’s a place where you discover new things, where you can really hold albums in your hands, and where you meet people who share the same passion."

There will also be exclusive releases of iconic albums in vinyl from Clouseau, Eefje de Visser, Madonna, Tate McRae, Charli XCX, Bruno Mars, Chemical Brothers, CMAT, A-Ha, and many more.
There will also be performances and events in Belgian record stores but the programme is still TBC. Do not miss Brussels Vinyl Record Fair one week after, on 26 April.
