Sylvie Kreusch's show in Brussels was more than just magic. The first of two soldout shots in Ancienne Belgique was a testament to her evolution as an artist, showcasing tracks from her latest album 'Comic Trip' and many previous hits.

The concert opened with 'Ding Dong', immediately enveloping the audience in its dreamy, voluptuous tones. Kreusch's vocals were both soft and commanding, setting the tone for an evening of dynamic contrasts, casting spells as she was walking side to side of the stage, from 'Hocus Pocus' to 'Let It All Burn' or the tender tracks 'Final Hour' or 'Wild Love'. The inclusion of 'Butterfly', with its Lou Reed-like qualities, provided a mellow interlude, allowing the audience to bask in the creamy, drifting flow of the melody.

Throughout the night, Kreusch's stage presence was magnetic. Her expressive movements and elegant fashion choices, designed by Jasmien Van Loo, added layers of depth to each song, reminiscent of the eccentricities of early Kate Bush performances with the stage confidence of Nina from The Cardigans.

The crowd went mad with earlier songs like 'Walk Walk' or 'Please To Devon' but surrended to her enchanting magic with the acoustic version of new song 'Daddy's Selling Wine At a Burning House' or 'Sweet Love (Coconut)'.

The live band was impeccable, with a percussionist and drummer adding rich, voodoo grooves that made it impossible not to move along. Two guitar players, two keyboard players and all of them providing background vocals gifted us with a full surround experience, one to remember, especially while performing 'Hear This Choir'.

The live rendition of 'Comic Trip' towards the end of the show was particularly electrifying, with vibrant vocals exuding euphoric energy and cementing the career of the Belgian start, destined to become an icon.

Tonight she performs again at Ancienne Belgique and next year she will be back to the Belgian capital in November for a show in Cirque Royal. Find more videos of the concert here and to enjoy the full setlist of the tour we prepared a detailed playlist.
